“What do you want to do after high school?” can feel like a very big question. For some students, the answer comes quickly. For many, it changes as they learn more about themselves and the opportunities around them.
That’s why advising at Concord isn’t about asking a student to choose one career and stick with it. College and career advising creates intentional opportunities for those conversations to happen throughout a student's high school experience.
It’s about helping students:
- Understand their interests, strengths and goals
- Explore careers and postsecondary opportunities
- Make thoughtful decisions about courses and experiences
- Consider the different pathways available after graduation
- Build a plan — and know how to adjust it when their interests change
The goal isn’t to have everything figured out. The goal is to know your options and have a meaningful next step.
