Curriculum Information
The following is a partial list of curriculum and programming offered to students at Concord Community Schools. Parents or guardians who wish to learn more about these offerings are invited to contact their child's principal or the Concord Education Department by calling 574-875-5161.

Canvas is the platform that teachers at Concord use to deliver lessons to students, as well as to communicate with parents and guardians about a child’s skill development and learning achievement.

Concord Community Schools offers a robust 1:1 learning environment for students of all ages. Through our digital learning initiative, students use devices to complement instruction while in the classroom. -
In accordance with IC 20-30-5-5.7, students are to be instructed on child abuse and child sexual abuse. Instruction on child abuse and child sexual abuse will be delivered by the school counselor or school social worker who has training and expertise in this area. Parents are welcome to review the content used to instruct students in this area and are asked to contact their child's principal to make this request.

Concord Community Schools offers strong programming at every grade level to help students become well-rounded individuals. This is taught through the development of leadership skills, positive relationships, self-awareness, and by supporting students’ emotional needs.
Leader in Me
Offered at Concord Junior High School, Concord Intermediate School, Concord East Side Elementary, and Concord Ox Bow Elementary
Leader in Me addresses common challenges that are unique to students during their formative years. Parents, educators, and school administrators are concerned with their child’s physical, mental, social, and economic well-being, all of which are factors that can contribute to or hinder academic success.
Capturing Kids’ Hearts
Offered at Concord South Side Elementary
Capturing Kids’ Hearts aims to help schools cultivate relational capacity, improve school culture, strengthen trust between teachers and students, create accountability and improve academic performance.
Character Strong
Offered at Concord High School
Character Strong programming helps students develop competencies such as self-awareness, self-management, relationship skills, social awareness, and responsible decision making. Additionally, students are encouraged to develop character through patience, kindness, honesty, respect, selflessness, forgiveness, commitment, and humility.
PATHS Program
Offered at Concord West Side Elementary
The PATHS Program helps students acquire skills such as increasing self-control, helping and sharing with others, and developing a sense of connectedness to their community. Teachers report students who learn from the PATHS program are more focused in the classroom and have increased academic achievement.
