Concord Community Schools is pleased to announce the hiring of Rick Court as the new Athletic Director for Concord High School.

Court brings more than 20 years of experience in athletics, leadership, strength and performance training, and program development at both the collegiate and high school levels. Most recently, he served as Coordinator of Strength and Performance for Greenville Public Schools in Michigan, where he led district-wide strength and conditioning initiatives, and expanded student participation in athletic performance programs.

During his time in Greenville, Court developed programs focused on student leadership, academic and athletic excellence, and community engagement. He also played a key role in growing booster involvement and supporting coaches and student-athletes across multiple sports.

“Rick brings a tremendous amount of energy and passion for student-athletes,” Concord High School Principal Jeff Petty said. “Throughout the hiring process, it was clear that he values relationships, accountability, and creating positive opportunities for students. We are excited to welcome him to Concord.”

Court’s background also includes leadership roles at several major collegiate athletic programs, including the University of Maryland, Mississippi State University, The Ohio State University, the University of Toledo, Bowling Green State University, and San Diego State University.

“I’m honored to join Concord Community Schools and become part of a community with such strong tradition and pride,” Court said. “Athletics have the power to bring people together and teach lifelong lessons about teamwork, discipline, leadership, and resilience. I look forward to working with our students, coaches, families, and community to continue building a culture that puts students first.”

Court replaces longtime Athletic Director Dave Preheim, who announced his retirement this spring. Concord Community Schools appreciates Preheim’s many years of dedicated service to Concord athletics and his assistance during the leadership transition.

As Athletic Director, Court will oversee Concord High School’s athletic programs, support coaches and student-athletes, and help strengthen community engagement and school spirit across Minutemen athletics. His new role will begin July 1, 2026.
