Welcome to Concord Community Schools – we are excited to have you join our school district! In addition to preparing ALL students at Concord Community Schools for success, we offer enriching and diversified educational opportunities, after-school programs, community continuing education courses, and numerous athletic opportunities. Whether your family has recently moved to our area, your child is transferring schools, or your kindergartner is going to be heading to school for the first time, the Central Registration Office offers everything you need to enroll your child in any of our seven schools in our district.

2017-18 New Student Enrollments

New students (K-12) may begin enrolling on May 2, 2017, for the 2017-18 School Year at the Education Center, please be sure to have the following documents with you to complete the enrollment process.

DOCUMENTS NEEDED AT TIME OF ENROLLMENT:

To expedite the Enrollment Process, Please ensure that you have the following documents listed below at the time of enrollment. For a more detailed, printable list please click the Link to Detailed Enrollment Check List below:

  • Parent/ Guardian Photo ID
  • Student’s Birth Certificate or Court Documents for Legal Guardian
  • Proof of Residency: Lease -OR- Mortgage (See attached for a detailed list.)
  • Student’s Immunization Records
  • Student’s Medical Alerts or Conditions
  • Any Legal Documents School should be aware of

Transfer Student

If you are interested in having your student attend Concord Community Schools for the 2017-18 School year but do not live in the Concord district, please call the Education Center, 574-875-5161, to request to be put on a mailing list to receive an application. Applications will be mailed the first week of May. All current transfer students will automatically be added to the mailing list, and should receive and application the first week of May.

Students seeking to attend Concord Community Schools without maintaining legal settlement within the boundaries of the district are considered “Transfer Students”. Board Policy 5111 outlines the following criteria for the enrollment of transfer students who are legally settled in Indiana, but not within the Corporation’s boundaries.

A “Transfer Student Request Form” must be completed for all transfer students requesting to attend a school within the Corporation each school year.

To prevent a delay in processing, completed forms should be submitted first to the building principal at the school to which enrollment is being requested. Once the application is submitted to the building principal of the school requested for enrollment:

  • academic, attendance, and discipline records are requested from the students current school of attendance
  • the building principal reviews the records and makes his/her recommendation
  • the recommendation is then reviewed by the Superintendent of Schools
  • the parent / guardian is then notified by the Superintendent, or designee, once a determination is made

It is your responsibility to have your student get these vaccines and to bring the records to school. The Health Department or the Doctor’s office do not send these records to the school. It is your responsibility to make sure your student’s school receives these records.

It is the policy of Concord Community Schools to exclude any student who does not meet the immunization requirements set forth by the Indiana State Department of Health and the State of Indiana, until the immunization requirements are met.
